AMP Plugin

Nowadays, most people browse the Internet through a mobile device. Plenty of people still use a desktop or laptop computer, but more and more frequently they are searching the Internet through a tablet or smart-phone. While it is great that your website will now have a great capability to reach people, there are limits if your website is not optimized for mobile devices.

In order to get your website mobile friendly, you need to focus on the speed, and the layout. Mobile devices are typically smaller than their desktop counterparts, meaning your website needs to look good on their screens as well as the larger ones. On top of that, mobile devices will typically have slower Internet connections, meaning you want your website to load as quickly as possible to make up for this.

With the AMP WordPress Plugin, you can take care of both of these things at once for any of your posts. This WordPress plugin automatically generates an AMP compatible version of your post, and you can display it to the user via a permalink. AMP is an open-source initiative that aims to have websites instantly load from anywhere. By using this plugin you can have your WordPress posts load faster, and look better, on all mobile devices.

As of now, this plugin only works for WordPress posts, but the group behind this plugin is working on adding functionality for pages as well. Since the AMP Project is open-source, there are new developments and improvements all the time. For more information on this project, you can visit their FAQ page here, or contact us with any additional questions.
